Crisp air, longer nights...I love Fall! Growing up, I was more excited about shopping for back-to-school clothes than Christmas! That excitement still remains strong as I plan my Fall 2015 wardrobe.
Here are some runway looks that inspire:
FEMININE FULL SKIRTS
Paired with a fitted jacket and gloves, this is such a prim & proper look! I'm not a fan of the boots, so I'll style my full skirt with 4' inch pumps. (Marc Jacobs)
This is an easy look to replicate! Black peplum jacket and full pleated skirt are wardrobe staples! I will recreate the "tattoo" legs with some graffiti tights to toughen the look. (Junya Watanabe)
BOXY JACKETS + PENCIL SKIRTS
The matchy-matchy suit gives this a vintage vibe and gloves (again!) with top handle purse is a look straight out of a 1950's catalog. The shiny leather boots makes it very current. Again, not a fan of the shoes, so I'll keep my look in the vintage vain with kitten heels. (Marc Jacobs)
Loving the scarf tied at the neck! I have a very large drawer filled with scarfs that I've collected from estate sales and thrift store hunts. I'm so going to wear the life out of them this season. In fact, I believe that I've worn this look before! (Escada)
LASER CUT LACE DRESSES
Before I talk about the dress, I have to mention that I'm SUPER excited to see colored hosiery on the runway! I'm loving the deep green hue of the dress and sheer long sleeves. Since I don't believe I own anything in this jeweled hue, I'll add this to my Fall Fashion Shopping List. The tights? Oh, yes. I have those. (Honor)
A cream lace dress is so dreamy and romantic and can be interpreted as too bridal. To pull it off, I'm going to search for a vintage one and pair it with red velvet pumps! (Lela Rose)
I have a vintage sea-foam green brocade dress that I usually reserve for spring weddings. With this as my inspiration, I'm going to keep it out for Fall and pair it with black opaque tights! (Erdem)
This is beautiful! Hues of pink and gray on this lux brocade toggle coat will turn any outfit into something spectacular! I have a similar coat in pink and gold with rhinestone buttons that I'll pair with pink Point d'esprit tights. (Mary Katrantzou)
The recurring theme of all of my favorite looks is unabashedly feminine; sticking to my style personality and aesthetic. Since I shop based on what I personally like and not by what the season dictates, I'll always have a little of what "in" hanging about in my closet. Staying true to you is always in style!
