LOVE this outfit. I visually planned this outfit when I purchased this skirt during the $2 GW sale last week. Since this skirt was the star for this feminine, vintage-y look, I paired it up with a short sleeved white poplin blouse. To highlight my waist, I accessorized with a saddle style black belt. Since the fullness of the skirt concealed most of my leg, hosiery and shoe selection were critical to prevent this from becoming a matronly disaster. Playing up this 50's inspired look, I pulled out my fishnet stockings (not thigh highs; there is a difference) and a cute ruffle panty with attached garter.
This is what I was hiding under my skirt. Although not seen, this wardrobe secret played a supporting role in the look and feel of my outfit. These fishnets providing an extra sway to my hips.
To keep my underpinnings playful, I added in this all over ruffle detail panty with attached garter. Aren't they cute? They remind me of little girl panties with the layers of ruffles and lace with the cute little bow. The attached garter keep it very adult.
