I was challenge with my closet on this day. My wardrobe selections are bleak and what's left is looking sad without the coordinates that they are accustomed to. A day of shopping browsing at my neighborhood farmers market and Nordstrom Rack called for something casual. Normally, I would pull on a simple cotton dress with tights and ballet flats to shop in the 'hood. Remember the "casual dress" for my work retreat? Gone are the casual dresses and casual skirts that I set aside in my wardrobe for days like this. Those 4 days sucked all of the casual dress out of me. Panicking, I put my stylist hat on and rescanned my closet coming up with this very appropriate outfit: striped ruffle top, ruffled cardigan, and cotton skirt. The stripes and ruffles instantly transported me to the chic streets of Paris! Once I walked out my door and received my 1st cat call of the day from a homeless woman, I remember that I lived in eclectic Downtown Long Beach.
